This exam is harder than the in-course drills. Questions present a situation and ask what you would do; several have a defensible-looking wrong answer that fails on a specific point. Sitting it without having worked through the courses is not recommended.
| Format | Detail |
|---|---|
| Questions | 35, drawn at random from a 45-question bank — 5 from each of 7 domains |
| Time | 60 minutes. The exam submits automatically when time expires. |
| Pass mark | 70% overall (25 of 35), and at least 2 of 5 in every domain |
| Navigation | All questions on one page. Flag any for review; unanswered questions count as incorrect. |
| Result | Domain-level breakdown with links back to the relevant course, plus a certificate on passing |
| Retakes | Unlimited. Each sitting draws a different question set. |
Scoring 70% overall while failing one domain entirely does not pass. A medical writer who is excellent at statistics and does not know what an adverse event obliges them to do is not safe to work unsupervised, and the certificate should not say otherwise.
Used only to print your name on the certificate. Nothing is transmitted anywhere; this exam runs entirely in your browser.
Every question is shown below with the correct answer and an explanation. The explanations are the most useful part of a failed attempt.
